Found this fascinating report on Nerdgirl’s blog today.
So for all you Apple haters out there, you can now witness how a true Windows enthusiast can be turned on to the Cult of Steve. It took a few attempts and a bit of cursing to get here, but I’m glad I did it.nerdgirl.com, nerdgirl | a girl, some gadgets and a lot of geek, Nov 2009
It got me thinking about individuals switching from Microsoft world in g e n e r a l… that the best way to enter a mac world is perhaps to forget all about software and start new. Why? Because I have seen tens of users getting a mac laptop and trying to harass it in a way they used to harass a Microsoft machine :D There is another pace on a mac. I bet a mac user’s heart beats slower on average due to comfort — referring to Mercedes-Benz driver’s medical data while driving (source: Top Gear).
Anyhow, my big question right now is: is there a need for MS Exchange plug-ins or related tools/utilites for mac? Corporate world switchers might have some requests. Vice-versa: start-up opportunities with corporate applications on business user’s mac software market?
Last but not the least: my both collegue’s laptops died during last month. It reminded me that every € I payed for Apple hardware has been worth it. Heavy usage, daily, for many years. It works and serves me gloriously.
